Word Builder: A Word Party Cricut Cartridge Review

Word Builder: A Word Party Cricut Cartridge Review

As educators and parents, it is our duty to teach our children to read. However, in our world today – with television, computer games, cellphones, iPods and the internet competing for their attention – it gets increasingly difficult to get a kid to focus on a book. One of my friends with a four-year old son complained to me recently that their toddler could operate their Playstation all by himself, but had a very hard time going through Dr. Seuss books at night. Much worse, her son told her outright that reading was boring and would much rather watch a movie before bedtime! As responsible parents and teachers, it seems we need all the help we can get.

The Word Builder: A Word Party Cartridge aims to do just that. Created by the talented Heather Lancaster, its goal is to help both children and parents (through the Cricut machine and its innovations) to find learning fun and easy again. Unlike the other cartridges, the Word Builder: A Word Party Cartridge does not have full fonts, but rather roots and foundations. With these, it will be easier for your child to string words together and thus learn how to read and spell at the same time. The cartridge also includes creative designs such as puzzles, flowers, ice cream, RR cars and other features that will surely keep your little one’s attention.

You can even play fun games! As we know visualization is important. It is easier especially for children to associate words with an image to keep it in memory. You can ask your tyke to match the correct word to a particular shape, such as the ice cream design, for example. If he/she gets it right, you can reward him/her by allowing him/her to color and decorate the shape and get a real ice cream for dessert! You can even ask some friends with children over for a literal “word party!”

For only $89.99, you’ll be able to teach your child something he/she will use for life! The valuable gift of reading and spelling. And both of you will have fun too! So order now while supply lasts! $89.99 is a small price to pay compared to the education your child will be receiving. And when your child has fully learned his “Readin’ and Writin’” you can even pass the cartridge on to another parent who needs it.
