Wild Card Cartridge Cricut Cartridge Review
The Wild Card Cartridge is but one of the wonderful cartridges from Provo Craft’s Cricut® cartridge library. The lettering and shapes on this cartridge were made by Cecelia Harris. She just loves to read and is obsessed with calligraphy. In fact, she created at least five special styles of handwriting all on her own. She now owns a company called Wordsworth which specializes in making stamps. Wordsworth was founded in 2000. Cecelia’s work is loved by many and that’s why Provo Craft has let her design more creative images, shapes, and fonts for cartridges.
The Wild Card Cartridge contains the alphabet, phrases, icons, frames, liners and blackouts. Working with this cartridge enables you to create all sorts of things including greeting cards and envelopes. Your cards will be more than just pieces of folded paper with a personal message on it. A lovely image and a brilliant phrase adorning its cover will make the receiver of the card gush over its uniqueness and your thoughtfulness. Nothing beats getting a card that was personally made by someone especially for you.
Characters on the Wild Card are measured form the lowest to highest point. The cards on this cartridge are made to be of the same height. The characters, icons, blackouts, phrases, liners, and envelopes are all proportionate to their respective base card. The cartridge contains Creative Feature keys which include Frame, Icon, Phrase, Blackout, Liner, and Alphabet. When a Creative Feature key and character is selected, the character will come out with the same style as the Creative Feature. It is advised to always cut the envelope slightly larger to make sure that it fits on the cutting mat of your Cricut® machine.
Some of the characters on this cartridge include a heart-shaped blackout, a heart-shaped frame, and a heart icon. Examples of the cards you can make with the cartridge are a card with a flower-shaped cover, a card with a star for a cover, a card with a telephone for a cover, a heart-shaped card, and even a card with a Halloween lantern cover.
When you’ve mastered how to work your new cartridge, you can start making cards and envelopes. Make sure to use colorful cardstock to make your cards more attractive. You could truly make cards for all occasions. You would also be making cards for ordinary days when you have a cartridge such as this one. That’s how enjoyable card making can now be!
