Street Sign Solutions Cricut Cartridge Review
The Cricut Street Sign Solutions cartridge has the whole alphabet in both lower and upper case letters. Also included are punctuation marks, numbers, and basic traffic signs and outlines. The letters, numbers, and punctuation marks are in a simple, smooth, easily read font typical of actual street signs. The letters and shapes can be cut to sizes from 1” up to 5.5” tall, while the outlines can be as big as 11.5”. Materials such as paper, vellum, cardstock, parchment and the like can be used. The cartridge comes with a keypad overlay.
The special features included in this cartridge are Shadow and Shadow Blackout. The keys of these features are found on the upper left corner of the keypad overlay. The Shadow feature will create a larger shadow image exactly like the selected character, while the Shadow Blackout will create a larger shadow image that is more of an outline of the character. Just press the said keys before pushing the Cut button for the desired character style set in the preferred special feature. Real Dial Size is also included where the characters will come out in the actual size indicated by the user. After familiarizing with the cartridge, the user will realize that some characters look better when cut at a larger dial size.
This cartridge is good for making educational street signs or creative invitations and posters in a traffic-inspired designed.
Mothers bringing along their toddlers and pre-schoolers on a long road trip will find that this will be a good way to while away the long travel time and keep the little kids occupied.
